What Is Baccarat?

Baccarat is an old card game that has become increasingly popular throughout the ages. It is a casino favorite, and often results in big payouts. But how is it played? It may look very intricate, complicated, and fancy compared to Blackjack, but it is a very straight forward game that anyone can play once they learn the rules.
The dealer begins with something called “the Grand Shuffle” where the eight decks that are used in the game will be mixed together. Then a player will cut the decks, and the cards will be divided and placed. Unlike other games, there are three dealers in Baccarat. One that calls, the other two handle the finances. The player to the primary dealer’s right will be “offered the bank” where you will be able to deal the cards as the banker.
Now, bets are placed, and then the cards are dealt face down. Specific cards the player keeps, and the others are the hand of the banker. The player with the highest bet will receive the hand, and then view the cards. These are then passed to the primary dealer, or “caller” and then these two cards will be put in the table’s center.
